Yes, and this policy is very important to us. We believe that our team should be directly rewarded for providing good service at the discretion of our customers, so a service charge is not added to your bill. We hope you are delighted with the service you receive and reward our team appropriately. 100% of any gratuity you leave goes to the staff no matter how it is paid. The landlord, management and owners do not take a share.

Our restaurant is small, so late cancellations and no shows have a devastating effect on our family-run business. We require 48 hours’ notice of a cancellation or reduction in numbers. Late cancellations, reductions and no shows will automatically incur a £10 fee per person.
Please call us if you are running late. We hold tables for 15 minutes and will release it if we don’t hear from you. By making a reservation at The Bell Inn, you are agreeing to these cancellation terms.

Yes, we would be delighted to help you celebrate a special occasion and honoured that you choose our pub for it. Balloons and banners are welcome, but please leave the confetti or anything else you might like to sprinkle at home.

You are welcome to bring your own cake, and we can bring it to your table when you want it. We will not be able to serve it to you due to health and safety regulations.

Yes. We welcome children of all ages. Please do count them, including infants when making your booking online. If you need highchair or space for a pushchair, please use the comments section when making the booking to let us know. We have a special menu for kids that can be found here.

Unfortunately not. It’s a 17th-century, listed building with lots of steps and we’re unable to make modifications for accessibility.

Dogs are allowed outside in the garden, but not in the bar or restaurant. Registered assistance dogs are of course welcome.
